Your Questions, Answered
A few answers to help you feel prepared for your appointment.
When should I schedule my first pregnancy appointment?
We recommend contacting the practice as soon as you discover that you are pregnant. Early antenatal care allows your doctor to assess your health, confirm your pregnancy and guide you through the important first stages of your pregnancy.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Please bring your identification, medical aid information (if applicable), a list of any medications you are taking, and relevant medical records or previous test results. If you are pregnant, please bring any existing antenatal records. You are also welcome to prepare a list of questions you would like to discuss.
How often should I visit a gynaecologist?
The frequency of your visits depends on your age, medical history and individual health needs. Regular gynaecological check-ups can help identify potential concerns early and support your long-term reproductive health. Your doctor will recommend an appropriate schedule for you.
Can I discuss sensitive or personal health concerns during my consultation?
Absolutely. We understand that discussing intimate health matters can sometimes feel uncomfortable. Our aim is to provide a respectful, supportive and confidential environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and receive personalised medical guidance.
